On Friday, the 28th of January, one of the Chilean miners, Jose Henriguez and his wife paid a visit to my little mining town of Maltby in South Yorkshire, England.
At the Full life Church here in Maltby he gave us a talk about his experience in the disaster, that had 33 men trapped for 69 days.The talk was entitled ‘The 34th Miner’ The 34th miner was of course God. He (Jose)and his friends that were trapped with him are all convinced that it was the power of prayer that saved them. Who am I to argue. I just think it was all fantastic!

I would just like to thank President Pinera and the rescue team for getting all the Chilean miners out. It was truely an amazing rescue. My class watched the rescues live one day, and we saw the 19th and 20th miners emerge for the cave. It was a heart-warming experience to see that.

Trapped in a mine deep under ground, would the 33 chilean minors ever be found.

As the events of that day start to unfold the world watched and waited and we prayed for your souls.

Days turned to night and night turned to day we must keep looking the rescuers say.

Drilling the mountains day after day looking for life and a miracle we pray.

Loved ones and families all gathered on top, waiting to hear we have found the lot.

Then into a camera a face would appear telling the world look we are here.

No one could believe it, could it be true they have found the chile minors all 33 have pulled through.

Loved ones and family all gave a big sigh jumping for joy and punching the sky.

The weeks rolled on past but you didn’t give in, kept strong by your faith and the will for living.

At last we were told the tunnel was done there were families and rescuers all tangled in one.

With baited breath and emotions high the world waited for the phoenix to fly.

One by one you slowly emerged re born to the world no longer submerged.

33 minors and 5 rescue crew back up with the living and enjoying the view.

Your families,rescuers and president to all helped this miracle really come true.

Long life to all you all and happiness to, 33 chilean minors God has blessed you.

I would like to compliment you Mr. President Sebastian Pinera, on the rescue of the miners. i am so impressed with you and your people for all the strong faith they have and above all the respect that is held in your country of Chile, they are a caring people with strong faith in God. I do believe that you’ll touch the heart of every human being upon this earth and your country will be seen by all people upon this earth as a country that taught the world a lesson, that is much needed in our world today, our world is in much need of love and those miners, you and the people of chile gave the world a big lesson. I do believe that God, had a purpose for the miners and that is to change the world, that people will live by their example of loving one another.
one could not watch those miners and you, Mr. President with crying, even the news people could not hold back tears.
I wouled like to hear from you, because you are a great man. I hope that may someday meet you and your wife the first lady of Chile.
May God be with you always.

I would like to say thank you Mr President to you and your rescue team and mostly to God for making the mine rescue possible. Your hard work and dedication and love of God never faltered and now you have made Chile and these miners Heroes such as yourself.
I live in West Virginia,United States and come from a coal mining family. My Father,Sister,two Brothers,nephews and a ton of uncles and cousins.
I cry with you when each miner comes out of the rescue capsule. We here in West Virginia are a huge mining state and our prayers are with you and the miners and their families that God be with them and keep them on to a healthy and joyful journey from here on out.
